What is the EU ErP certification?
ERP=Energy related products, that is, energy-related products, are closely related to many important environmental impact factors in all aspects of their production, distribution and use life cycle, such as the consumption of other raw materials and natural resources (such as water), waste generation, environmental pollution caused by the discharge of harmful substances into the environment, and related climate change caused by energy consumption.
The purpose of the EU's ERP directive is to stipulate the environmental design requirements of energy-consuming products by formulating a coherent comprehensive legal framework, so as to achieve the following objectives:
1. Ensure the free circulation of energy-consuming products within the EU;
2. Improve the overall environmental performance of these products and protect the environment accordingly;
3. Ensure the security of energy supply and improve the competitiveness of the EU economy;
4. Safeguard the interests of the industry and consumers.
Relationship between ErP certification and CE certification mark
The ERP directive is required by the CE mark. If the products put into the European market are within the scope of CE, they should carry the CE mark. In addition, some authoritative foreign certification institutions can provide ERP logo for market promotion.
Is the recognition of Energy Star a sign of compliance with ErP certification requirements?
Non-conformance. Energy Star is a certification mark of the United States, so it cannot be used as a proof of compliance with EU directives. At present, the only mark that can be used as a proof of conformity is ecolabel in Europe.

How to do ErP certification effectively?
The conformity of products shall be evaluated according to the internal design control procedure in Appendix IV of the ERP 2005/32/EC Decree.
The simplest and most effective method of conformity assessment is to refer to Annex IV of the EuP Decree, namely:
1. Provide LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) environmental footprint report of products;
2. Provide the test report required in the implementation rules of ecological design;
3. Provide relevant information required;
